Services

Family enjoying a meal together at the kitchen table.

Our ultimate goal is to strengthen and support the mental health of families. To this end, we focus on services for children, youth, parents/caregivers, couples, and families. Services do not need to be geared towards the child. For example, if a parent/caregiver is experiencing their own mental health challenges or has questions about themselves, we are happy to support them in therapy or with an assessment!

Therapy is available in-person or virtually. Assessments are conducted in a hybrid approach, with some appointments occurring virtually and others in-person.

Therapy

We provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy. Common concerns that bring our clients to therapy include:

  • worries and fears
  • concerns about development, including toileting, sleep, and tantrums
  • depression and trouble with mood
  • attachment and relationship difficulties
  • problems with behaviours, including lying, aggression, and defiance
  • difficulty adjusting after scary or traumatic events
  • obsessions and compulsions
  • conflict between parents and children
  • conflict and feeling disconnected in romantic relationships
  • needing support for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism

The evidence-based therapies we typically use are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), attachment-based, Gottman method, and systemic therapies.

Our Therapy Process

  • autism
  • learning problems, including learning disorders (sometimes called a psychoeducational assessment)
  • how emotional difficulties affect someone, including questions about depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and bipolar disorder (sometimes called a psychodiagnostic assessment)
